In this talk, I will generally describe the work across my research career, focused on the ferroic orders in solids, and extended from oxides to other tantalizing material systems. In the first and second sections of the talk, I will briefly introduce my previous work on tailoring the domain structures of multiferroic BiFeO3 and how domain-engineered BiFeO3 provides functional applications. In the last section, I will highlight our recent explorations of ferroic orders and exotic phenomena in hybrid organic-inorganic compounds and 2D van der Waals materials library, including giant photostriction, ferroelectric photovoltaic effect, negative piezoelectricity and so on.
游陆博士，2005年本科毕业于清华大学材料系，2011年于新加坡南洋理工大学获得博士学位，随后在南洋理工大学从事博士后及高级博士后研究工作至今。研究兴趣集中在对固体材料及其器件在介观（微纳）尺度上铁性有序的观测和测量，包括铁电，铁磁，磁电耦合，输运行为，光电物理等。以第一或通讯作者身份已在Science Advances，Nature Communications，Advanced Materials，ACS Nano，Small，PRB 和APL等杂志发表60余篇文章，引用次数超过1700次，H-index 24。受邀发表中英文书籍章节4篇。
