学术报告:Novel topological semimetal materials and their phase transition

Topological materials have been attracting great attention since the discovery of graphene. The concept of topological materials itself gets expanded as well. Up to now, various topological materials were proposed and many of them were verified by experiment. This inspired us to explore novel topological phase and their material realizations in 2D and 3D crystals. In this talk, I will introduce some of my theoretical work related to novel topological phase and materials. I mainly address on my talk on two aspects, one is 2D double Weyl fermions and pseudospin-1 fermions found in blue phosphorene oxide and Mg2C monolayer; the second is the Hourglass Dirac chain phase and its material realization in ReO2. Hopefully, these results will be helpful for advancing our understanding of topological materials and for designing new functional devices.

王珊珊,2015于兰州大学获理学学士学位。2015年9月加入新加坡科技设计大学攻读博士学位。研究方向为凝聚态理论及计算,利用第一性原理,紧束缚模型及有效模型相结合的方法研究三维及低维材料奇异的拓扑物性及磁性与光学性质,包括二维拓扑半金属及三维拓扑金属等。重点关注新型拓扑态在三维材料中的实现和二维材料中的拓扑相变。在Nature Commun., Nano Lett., Phys. Rev B/Mater发表论文6篇。
